The Project Manager will be responsible for the client-side delivery of the large scale solar PV projects from receipt of the project approval through to the completion of construction and handover to the Asset Management team. The project will be located in remote areas of Australia, with monthly travel to project sites should be expected.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preconstruction preparedness prior to notice to proceed-
    • Provide practical inputs to scope of works, project delivery methodology and design
    • Provide technical advice and inputs to the development team
    • Support in preparation and management of RFP processes
    • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of EPC contract
    • Assist in the financial close of any projects
    • Preparation of construction management plans
  • Construction Management-
    • Management of the owners engineer and site representative
    • Management of construction phase related consultant
    • Review the overall contractual requirements for all projects and specific process design methodology for individual projects as required
    • Reviewing the contractor’s site progress, safety management, quality, environmental compliance
    • Monitoring adherence to the site management plans during construction
    • Reviewing construction quality, inspection and test plans, site diaries and site documentation
    • Review HSE plans with HSE manager and undertaking site safety inspections
    • Ensure contractors compliance with conditions of consent relevant to the construction phase
    • Monitor commissioning phase
  • Post Construction
    • Review completion of punch list items
    • Undertaking final inspection
    • Draft asset management plans and procedures

 

Key Requirements:

  • Project management qualification
  • Experience working on the client’s side of recent energy projects in Australia
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies
