To develop and realize project opportunities for the company Such projects can either be done on behalf of the company’s commercial segments (Grid, Retail and Renewables) or as stand-alone investments within the unit CBM.
To take responsibility for all aspects of own investments in battery storages, including all commercial, financing, and technical consideration, as well as the preparation of investment decision documents.
To be accountable for all battery specific knowledge on use cases and revenue stacks for projects progressed and realized jointly with the company’s commercial segments.
To be responsible as project manager for the construction and commercialisation of battery projects realised as own investments and to support such activities for battery projects within other company segments.
To be responsible as asset manager to maximize the result, performance of batteries during commercial operations and to provide input for the development of tools for battery optimization under dynamic market conditions
To develop business models for residential batteries beyond pure hardware sales based on the energy+ PV & Battery strategy.
To be part of the team that is negotiating battery related contracts along the entire value chain.
To drive the pre-qualification process with TSOs and DSOs for specific battery segments in the target markets.
University degree of engineering sciences, natural sciences, economics or in a comparable discipline.
Strong entrepreneurial skills and experiences, combined with a structured approach.
Excellent communication skills and able to work in a diverse team across several locations.
Proven track record of developing and closing energy related business opportunities.
Ability to translate strategy into operational activity.
Preferably established network and track record in the battery business.
Strong team player in order to build the business in the environment of a large-scale utility.
More than 6 years of professional experience in the energy industry; fluency in English and preferably one language of relevant markets.
