Job Description

Our client is looking for a Director Technical Expert Centre and O&M, to coordinate the worldwide execution of projects- go guide, support and control the subsidiaries in their project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering and project management team of 5-10 employees
  • Manage – through O&M team leader – the O&M team of 5-10 employees with more than 200 MWp under contract
  • Assess technical and commercial project feasibility
  • Participate in customer meetings as technical advisor
  • Negotiate EPC, purchasing and O&M contracts
  • Define technical concepts for EPC-Project
  • Foster an IBC group-wide learning and know-how culture by ensuring a closed system of learning and feed-back.
  • Ensure the highest possible technical standard by continuous definition and implementation of best practice, technical innovation and based on applicable norms and standards

International Project Management:

  • Multiple project management and controlling in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Coordinate the subsidiaries’ technical onshore teams and the headquarter teams in Germany
  • Support the regional managing directors in defining and implementing the tools and procedures for project execution
  • Structure and monitor the EPC process covering all technical aspects  
  •  Manage RFQ processes between IBC SOLAR and contractors to define technically and commercially optimised solutions for construction 
  • Ensure compliance with local technical standards and regulations for construction (quality, health & safety, etc.)

Key Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering or economics with a strong technical bias
  • Relevant and proven track record in the international project management of photovoltaic large-scale power plants with creditable international success story
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, excellent in written and spoken German; further languages would be an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills to prepare entrepreneurial decisions and to develop action schedules
  • Willingness to travel
