Our client are a group who produces, trades and distributes energy reliably for more than 3 million people and several thousand companies in Switzerland and in over 20 countries throughout Europe is looking for a for a Gas Scheduler to join their team in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all scheduling processes (nominations, confirmations, etc.) are performed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Execute trades on the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in order to balance company’s portfolio
  • Book capacities for natural gas transportation and storage with Transmission and Storage System Operators
  • Ensure that all transactions are correctly represented in the internal Gas portfolio management system
  • Work with the Gas Trader to create and execute capacity/flow optimizations
  • Provide timely feedback of operational conditions or situations that present threats or opportunities - operational capacity restrictions, changes in terms and conditions, etc.

Key Recruitments:

  • Bachelor degree in Economics or Engineering
  • Professional experience in energy area shall be considered as advantage
  • Knowledge of European gas markets shall be considered as advantage
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Very good computer skills (including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to work under stress (must be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment /adjust to changing priorities at short notice / ability to determine tasks, priorities and goals)
  • Attention to details (ability to maintain high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines)
  • Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors
