Job Description

Our client, a leading upstream oil and gas advisory, is looking for an Institutional Sales Representative for their office in New York. The position is accountable for supporting new business development and institutional third party relationship management activities for clients and prospective clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prospect for new business
  • Support the full sales cycle from target market analysis, qualifying prospects and following through with an active sales strategy to close the deal
  • Provide high quality timely responses to client and prospect requests
  • Use sales prospecting strategies, including cold calling and arranging meetings with prospects and key investment consultants
  • Work with other business unites to leverage pre-existing industry relationships and uncover opportunities to collaborate
  • Manage client relationships through day to day contact
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is done on time
  • Compose and edit business correspondence for various client services and business development functions
  • Attend and participate in hosted industry events, forums, product launching, etc.
  • Promote efficiencies by contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures by identifying potential gaps

Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 5 years of institutional sales experience
  • Motivated by sales and revenue retention
  • Knowledge of the E&P sector is preferred
