Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer of solar cells, modules and custom-designed solar power applications, is looking for a O&M Sales Manager to be responsible for selling O&M services to new and existing customers. The role will require meeting identifying potential customers, meeting with customers in person, discussing the broader scope and benefits of services to help maximise the performance of their PV installations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact and meeting existing prospects and clients and build a close, binding relationship to understand their needs and to ensure the company is position correctly to meet the needs
  • Generate, identify and contact leads through different sources of trade publication
  • Develop an account penetration strategy to grow the territory
  • Achieve targets for volume and gross margin as well as targets for territory management
  • Identify available PV installations for monitoring, claims and warranty management opportunities
  • Obtain necessary information to independently analyse and further qualify opportunities and proposals
  • Determine economic impact and benefits of adding a multi-year O&M services agreement to their initial solar array investment
  • Successfully drive and negotiate deals through final stages of commitment with the help of all available resources to close business in alignment with quarterly/annual sales goals
  • Manage smooth transactions from Sales to Operational fulfilment to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction, while working to obtain referral business
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences
  • Collect and share competitive information as well as market entry and territory data from the field to assist in marketing strategies as well as to define sales and business development activities


Key Requirements:

  • 5 + years’ of B2B selling experience, including 3+ years in O&M sales
  • Engineering background/technical sales preferred
  • Knowledge of solar DAS
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures for the solar and service industry
  • Demonstrated ability to find and close new prospects
  • Ability to travel
