Job Description

Our client, an energy based company, is looking for a Senior Project Manager; Onshore Wind Tenders, to become part of the international New Market Team and actively shape the future of Renewable Energy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary embedded global tender project team to develop investment opportunities for large scale wind energy projects from the initial ideal to successful implementation
  • Investigate, scout and analyse markets with high potential for onshore wind tenders above 300 MW ticket size and recommendations for markets/tenders to pursue
  • Define the strategy to successfully participate in specific local onshore wind tenders globally across multiple markets to the execution of the strategy and local setup
  • Establish, negotiate, manage and support co-operations in wind energy projects with local and international business partners
  • Evaluate, drive, challenge and deliver a competitive valuation and bid for the client’s interest in the opportunity
  • Ensure the effective future execution of projects for both due diligence assignments then ongoing staffing projects post successful acquisition
  • Full management of the due diligence and tender process
  • Drive, negotiate and execute appropriate agreements for participation in and teaming up for tenders
  • Drive adherence to all safety, health and environmental principles


Key Requirements:

  • 8 + years’ experience in managing business objectives and delivering outcomes within a multi-national company, including a successful track record of leading complex and international large-scale projects
  •  Experience working within Joint Ventures and business development
  • High level of fluency within financial management in the context of the wind industry
  • Solid understanding of onshore wind assets development, construction and operations, including economics, cost drivers and key risks and opportunities
  •  The ability to forward plan, project manage, discover, anticipate and resolve potential challenges including the ability to influence, manage and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidence and determination to take responsibility and ownership and drive a perseverance to complete complex transactions
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (besides German) and a third language would be desirable
