Our client, a global commodities trader, is looking for a Shift Trader to join the team who trade in electricity and gas on a proprietary basis to keep up with market demand.

This role will provide the trader with –

• Opportunity to be trained to become an expert within the commodity trading environment
• Opportunity to learn the fundamental aspects of supply and demand
• To develop the platform by adding new products, markets, trading strategies, models, counterparts and clients
• Responsible for optimising portfolios, executing trades, including ownership of monitoring profit and loss
• Opportunity to become part of a shift team regularly working on night and weekend shifts whilst developing your own areas of expertise

Key Requirements:

• A University Degree in Natural Sciences/Engineering or Business
• Another language in addition of English would be advantageous
• Thrives in a fast paced and challenging environment
